Pauric
suggested this one for
Repairing Rip Stop |
... after you apply your
repair tape, run a hairdryer over the repair to warm
up the adhesive, press the tape firmly in to the
kite. This allows the adhesive to bleed in to the
kite's ripstop and makes for a stronger, longer
lasting repair. He recommends rounding off the
corners of the repair tape which helps reduce the
chance of them catching on stuff, lifting and
allowing sand to get in between the tape and sail.

Brent suggested this
one for smooth spinning on the
Spinning Swivel
Spreader |
A couple of wraps of
teflon plumbing tape on the axle helps smooth out
the spinning.

Can I trim the
spars on my new Twin Skin if they seem too
long? |
Sometimes the spars are
a little longer than the sleeve on the Twin Skin.
They may need to be trimmed using a hack saw to fit
snug. If the glue holding the metal
sleeves to
the one spar end come unglued, use Loctite 401
fasten them.
