New Trikke 10

A Trikke 10 (10 inch wheel diameter) is planned to be released mid to late summer. Stay tuned!

E-Kits on the horizon

Four wheel drive, battery-powered E-kits are coming this summer! Expanding the use of your T8 or T12 as a quick commuter vehicle is right around the corner.

Prototype of the “E-Kit”

The E-Kits will be easy to attach; all that is required is to simply replace your front fork with the new one (that includes the front wheel and hub motor), bolt the battery case brackets to your steering column (and attach battery case) and replace your right handgrip with your new accelerator grip. Let it charge and you’re good to go. We still find the resulting “hybridized” vehicle a great fitness machine, as we continue to carve turns as we ride — only faster. Also, you will find that even without using your electric power, you can still propel your electrified CV nicely by simply carving. That said, we find it hard to not throttle up when the juice is there. More news on out-of-the-box Trikke hybrids coming in the not too distant future...

School Physical Education Program

Trikke USA has announced a discount program for schools to include Trikkes as part of the curriculum. We will have more information on this in our next letter.

Tech Tip - loose steering axle

Simply flip your vehicle so that it is unfolded and upside down. Next, remove your front fork. Once your fork is removed, locate the part marked CCS in the diagram to the left.

Once you have located the part, loosen the single screw using a 5 mm allen wrench (it should be the largest allen wrench that you received with your carving vehicle), then tighten about halfway. The part marked CCS should be able to move when pushed (not be completely loose). Now take a mallet (you can substitute the mallet for a regular hammer and a small block of wood so that you are not directly hitting the CSS part) and lightly tap the CSS part towards the steering tube. Once the part has no room to move any farther down, re-tighten the 5mm screw all the way, being careful not to strip the threads, and replace and align your front fork. Check to be sure that your fork is properly aligned and your Trikke should be ready to go.

Available Stock (T67s and T78Airs in stock)

Due to the popularity of the Trikkes this spring, our supply of T78s and T8 did not meet the demand. We did manage to get a small shipment of T67 and Trikke 78 Airs last week. We will be getting more Trikke 78Airs towards the end of May. The Trikke 78Air is the popular model for lighter adults in the 5'-5'5" 100-140lb range (typically females), released over the winter. We've update our main Trikke page to indicate which models are currently available and hope this helps manage customer expectations better.

We are currently backordered on the Trikke 808 Air (Trikke 8 Air version 2008).  The Trikke 808 Air is schedule to be available late May.
