staying in shape while having fun riding your
Trikke.
We want keep you informed about our
Trikke business services in Canada.
We

other colours (luminescent copper and
metallic green) are in stock.
If you had contacted us before about a
T12 black, please
contact us to make arrangements for
your order. As part of our follow up, we
will contact each and every individual
that expressed an interest in that model
and colour.

If Tuesday evenings are not a convenient
time, please let us know the most
suitable times and we'll try to schedule
a better time and/or alternate session
in the future. We're also thinking of a
session on the weekends, but are
currently open to suggestions!
We
were recently informed that our request
has been forwarded to the Honourable Dwight Duncan,
Minister of Finance.
Previous update.
If they make a change to the legislation
to include three wheeled cambering
vehicles, when you purchase a Trikke or
bike safety accessories like a bell
(already rebated at source), you
won't be charged the PST. If you've
already purchased a Trikke, we encourage
you to apply for the rebate anyway. The
information regarding the forms can be
found
here. Cross your fingers!
We
we recently received our first
Tribred (updated video) kit and will likely be
assembling it on a
Trikke 8 for demo purposes only. If
you are interested in coming by for a
demo please
contact us.
At
some point in the future a Trikke will
be developed for riders greater than
250lbs. It will be a heavy duty Trikke
with reinforced parts.
As for riders that are currently greater
than 250lbs, you can still ride a
Trikke, but you will void your warranty.
How should you ride differently if
you're over 250 pounds? Good question.
You should avoid putting sudden stress
impacts on the frame like jumping or
going over curbs. You should also avoid
going at high speeds and slamming on the
breaks. Other than that you should ride
smooth and you'll eventually get your
weight below 250 pounds.
We're in the process of
sourcing some type of bag that will fit
on the Trikke so you can ride freer and
have a place to put your valuables while
you ride.
We recently attended the
Trikke Trainer Academy held
at Trikke World in
Midland, Michigan.
Everyone that took the course came out a
better rider. The biggest challenge for
the students was hill climbing. I
personally had been riding for about a
year and a half. I thought I knew how to
climb hills. I thought I knew how to
ride a Trikke. When you take a lesson
from someone that has more experience
and skill that you, you can only get
better. You learn about technique and
what is really possible.
I thought that the Trikke
was all about exercise and having fun. I
thought that I had to be moving
somewhere to get this. I found out that
you don't need to move anywhere or at
least you can move in a very limited
space, have fun and still get exercise.
The Trikke can be so much more and
you're going to find out.
If you've ever taking any
kind of lesson from a good trainer and
you understand the value of improvement,
there is so much more that you're going
to learn about your three wheeled
cambering Trikke vehicle.
Our ultimate goal is to help you ride
better and safe. We will be offering
some way of achieving this in the
future. Stay tuned as this is just too
much fun to pass up on!
I'd like to thank Fred
Welch and Gildo Beleski of Trikke Tech
for putting on a fabulous weekend!
We are also pleased to
announce as a result of taking these
courses, that we are now the only
certified Trikke Technicians capable of
performing service and maintenance as
well as Certified Trikke Trainers in
Canada.
While in Michigan, we
also attended the Trikke maintenance
course given by the Trikke inventor
himself Gildo Beleski. We learned about
maintaining/tuning your Trikke and
Trikke setup. Our ultimate goal is to
help you ride safe while having fun. The
details of how this will be made
available to you will be worked out in
the future.
While attending the course, we were
lucky enough to see Gildo ride. A true
master of his craft! To watch the video,
click
here and scroll down a bit, and you
might have to wait shortly while this
loads.
If you are finding the
steering still too high on a
Trikke 12, one option is to purchase
a
Trikke 8 handlebar set, which will
allow you a slightly lower arm position.
You can also position the handle bars
past the lowest pushpin position as long
as the handlebar quick release (QRS) is
tightened securly.
Once
a month we meet with Trikke USA and all
the other dealers across North America.
This general news category will
highlight the up and coming announcements.
The Trikke 78CS (2 poly + 1 air)
will now be produced in matte black
instead of grey. The price of this
unit will not change.
There will be a new Trikke 78Air
released in the fall. The colour
will be metallic green similar to
the T12 colour and it will have
upgrade components. There will be a
slight price increase to accommodate
the changes and the rising price of
fuel which has a direct influence on
our costs.
A
new
Trikke 8 C-08 will be released
in the future. It may have disc or
drum brakes and should be available in
summer 2009. They will come with a
rubber foot pad for more comfort.
You will also be able to order this
rubber foot pad as an upgrade for
your older
Trikke 8 Air.
The price of some of the larger
models (Trikke 8 Air and Trikke 12
Roadster) will be increasing at some
point later in the summer due to the
rising cost of fuel and improved
packaging.
